Zero Gravity Basketball is a youth basketball event operator based out of Beverly, MA and is the market leader of grassroots events throughout the Northeast, expanding to new markets in the South, Midwest and the Capital District in the past 12 months. Zero Gravity plans and manages basketball tournaments, leagues, prep school showcases, clinics and camps for children and young adults to expand their academics through athletic participation. Zero Gravity has many established partnerships including Adidas, USA Basketball and Muscle Milk.



Job Description

The Zero Gravity Basketball Digital Media Co-Op is a 5-Month (Mid January . Mid June) paid position based out of our corporate office in Beverly, MA and housing is available for prospective co-ops that need to relocate. Zero Gravity is looking for a co-op candidate with strong knowledge of the digital media landscape including various social platforms. The Digital Media Co-Op will be a tremendous opportunity to create new and engaging content to our vast customer base to promote over 110+ unique events per year.
Duties Include:

- Contribute to website content, design and layout

- Monitor and post on our blog to highlight customers, facilities and events

- Brainstorming and creating unique content on our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube) on a weekly basis

- Developing a content calendar to promote upcoming events

- Preparing a content plan and unique hashtags for our weekly tournaments

- Editing and creating video content for our YouTube channel and social media

- Idea development on how to acquire and gain new followers for our social media outlets

- Acting as a Site Director at Zero Gravity events and tournaments each weekend


Desired Characteristics:
- Major in Marketing, Communications or Sport Management

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills

- Immense knowledge of social media platforms

- Ability to work in an extremely demanding, fast-paced environment

- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously

- Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team

- Prior event management experience

- Able to work extended hours including nights and weekends

- Willing to travel frequently to various locations including the New England, Tri-State, Mid-Atlantic or Southern Regions
