ACTIVE is seeking a VP Consumer Demand Generation to run one of its most exciting new division. The successful candidate must be an energetic business leader wtih a proven track record in spearheading the development of demand generation teams from the ground up, manage multi-million dollar budgets, build markets, and be passionate about digital and data driven marketing that meet or exceed business objectives. He/she must have a demonstrated success in tackling complex problems and translating them into actionable short- and long-term plans to deliver results. Experience must include development of demand generation programs through SEO, PPC, Ad Networks and more, as well as create alliances and partnerships to drive demand and maintain outstanding relationships with our partners, resulting in a significant increase in revenue and/or market share.

This executive leadership role will lead the strategic discussions regarding company demand generation direction and priorities. The successful candidate must have experience with managing a P&L, interfacing to product teams and leading market requirements for product development.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and leading overall / cross business demand generation strategy for ACTIVE in the US and worldwide
  • Define the strategy, implementation and optimization of all aspects of company's demand generation efforts
  • Synthesize program performance data from multiple sources to gain insights, identify trends and make strategic decisions to improve performance, communicating effectively to members of the Consumer Marketing and Executive teams
  • Parner with divisions and business units to develop content that drives demand and increased revenue through direct and indirect sales channels
  • Hire, train and develop internal team of junior to manager-level digital marketing, business development, and analyst professionals
  • Develop complex bidding strategies to maintain competitive positioning while maximizing return on ad spend
  • Lead competitive and industry research to stay current with market trends, updates and advertising strategies

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skills & Requirements

What you bring to ACTIVE:

  • 12+ years of experience running large-scale demand generation projects
  • Strong understanding of paid search advertising, digital / web analytics implementation & analysis, search engine optimization (SEO), demand generation / online marketing acquisition, affiliate marketing, site optimization testing (A/B)
  • Proven track record in spearheading demand generation teams from the ground up
  • Deep understanding of consumer lead generation focused on attracting and converting users into participants and/or members and increasing ACTIVE's sold inventory
  • Highly organized with ability to quickly reprioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional business development skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex local and global projects
  • Expert in leading internal and external teams by creating a common goal and working closely with project stakeholders and executive management team
  • Strong listening and questioning skills with an ability for getting to know and understand new people, businesses, products and markets
  • Strong presentation skills and experience of presenting to executive team and occasionally board members
  • Ability to explain complex strategic thinking in an easily understandable manner
  • Ability to leverage, interpret and present analytics in a meaningful and actionable way
  • Exemplary reliability and quality, highly competent strategic thinker, while maintaining a keen eye for detail
