NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join our team in the position of Manager, Media Planning based in our Charlotte, NC office. 

  

Duties include but are not limited to:

The Manager of Media role is responsible for day-to-day oversight of NASCAR’s media strategy, planning and scheduling. The selected candidate will also support the development and execution of NASCAR consumer marketing campaigns.

  • Develop strategy and plans for all NASCAR media assets including TV, radio and print.
  • Oversee relationships and serve as daily point of contact with NASCAR broadcast and other media partners.
  • Manage relationship with media agency partner on tracking and valuation of media.
  • Develop full-year media strategy, plan and schedule in partnership with Manager, Brand Marketing.
  • Partner with NASCAR Social and Digital teams on planning and execution of any digital media in support of consumer campaigns.
  • Partner with broadcast and other media partners on potential opportunities to reach new audiences through alternative channels and programming.
  • Responsible for delivery of weekly media rotation reports and oversee delivery of NASCAR creative to broadcast partners.
  • Work closely with NASCAR media and creative agency partners to ensure creative rotation reflects media plan, and provide post reporting as necessary.
  • Support budget management and tracking.
  • Assist Manager, Brand Marketing with support in creative production process.
  • Percentage of travel: 10-15% including some weekends.

 Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university and five (5) plus years of experience in media planning, consumer marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Exceptional team and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience and proficiency in consumer marketing on social media platforms.
  • Superior follow-through with a high-level of accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and passion for marketing and sports.
