Job Summary

Opportunity Overview

Reporting to the Account Director, Sponsorship, the Senior Consultant, Sponsorship is responsible for the overall management of a work group and the execution of their assigned sponsorship projects, including budgeting and reconciliation.  This role is responsible for managing a partnering relationship with the work group client(s), and anticipating their integrated marketing needs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Understand and track all sponsorship projects across the workgroup
  • Embody the client brand and understand the client business holistically and specifically
  • Anticipate client need as it relates to sponsorship marketing, help to generate new strategies and anticipate client integrated marketing needs
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with all client team members
  • Articulate the client business clearly and concisely to the Lumency team
  • Investigate new on target partnerships or experiential opportunities

 

Sponsorship Strategy

  • Support stakeholders in the development of sponsorship strategies
  • Brief the Lumency team on the client needs and projects
  • Provide clear, concise and transparent communicate to client’s on projects
  • Manage project revenue recognition
  • Manage client’s sponsorship budget
  • Scope and present service quotations for client groups
  • Lead the work group to look for ways to continuous improve

 

People Management

  • Support Talent to recruit, develop and retain the best talent in the experiential and sponsorship marketing industry
  • Onboard new team members and provide on-going continued learning and development
  • Support and guide team members through consistent performance management and development plan
  • Execute weekly one-on-one’s to support team members continued learning and growth
  • Responsible for the workplace health, safety and wellness of team members
  • Manage the execution of required tasks by the work group
  • Support team members to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in their approach to work

 

Culture Cultivation   

  • Support ongoing development of a positive agency culture
  • Act as a Lumency champion in the marketplace
 

Qualifications

Education

Post-secondary education in business administration, marketing, or communications.   

 

Experience

5-7 years of experience in sponsorship marketing with 2-3 years of people management experience.  Experience in an agency setting an asset.

 

Other Qualifications

Certification / Coursework in Microsoft Office (an asset)
