Job Summary

Executes of procurement process of the Fixture, Furniture and Equipment (FFE) purchasing program for the retail building including but not limited to ensuring Dick's Sporting Goods has the most competitive package pricing, establishes and maintains excellent vendor relationships, generates purchase orders and reviews invoices, budget management, and interface and communication with others to ensure the final product is consistent and accurate to company standards. 
Job Duties & Responsibilities
 
Fixture, Furniture and Equipment (FFE) Procurement 
  • Executes the Fixture, Furniture and Equipment (FFE) procurement for Dick's and Golf Galaxy new stores, remodels, special projects and capital expense projects on schedule and within budgetary parameters. Generates purchase orders and invoice review. Verification and review of fixture takeoffs. Coordinate and facilitate existing store fixture rollouts and existing store replenishment program.
Cost Containment
  • Monitor and evaluate the program for competitive pricing by bidding each vendor and/or annual renegotiation.  Investigate value engineering opportunities. Negotiate National Account discounts. Understands the fluctuating economic conditions and commodities costs affecting FFE package priding.
FFE Vendor Relations 
  • Conduct annual meetings with FFE vendors to establish and maintain relationships to ensure vendors are providing competitive pricing and working in the company's best interest. Work through company and vendor issues. Encourage healthy competition.
Fixture Development 
  • Assists Manager of Purchasing with the development of new fixtures. Maintain and track FFE database including pricing, specifications and details.
  • Maintains on-line re-ordering site via the intranet.
  • Ensures vendor details and specifications are current and accurate.
     
Education Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree
 
Experience Requirement
  • 5 – 7 Years
  • 5 years purchasing
 
Technological Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
     
 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent negotiation skills
