Job Summary

Principal Functions:

Responsible for piloting digital content projects & platforms through all phases of the production process, from concepting to distribution. Will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to translate content strategies, team storylines and business needs into monetizable digital content platforms that are produced on-time, on-budget and maximize fan engagement on the most appropriate digital channels.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on developing monetizable digital content concepts and creative that support high priority strategic objectives and address most critical business needs
  • Develop production schedules for new digital content platforms & initiatives that outline deadlines, key milestones, talent/resource needs, budget requirements and communication/distribution plans
  • Manage videographer group to ensure coverage of prioritized events/projects and oversee video editing process
  • Manage weekly production meetings attended by Digital Services, Marketing, Communications and Corporate Partnership staff
  • Manage overall production calendar ensuring most critical projects are prioritized, assigned appropriate resources and produced efficiently to deliver high impact content pieces on-time and on-budget
  • Work with analytics resources to track fan engagement metrics, identify factors driving engagement on our top performing content pieces and use these insights to develop more effective content programs in the future
  • Identify best practices with digital content in the NBA, other leagues and other industries and develop strategies on how those best practices can be integrated into the Celtics content production roadmap
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and emerging digital platforms that can improve the reach and effectiveness of our digital content platforms
  • Provide support for marketing and social media initiatives during Celtics home games
  • Perform additional duties assigned by VP of Strategic Marketing & Business Operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-10 years of digital content production and videographer experience
  • Experience with digital content production in the sports industry is preferred
  • Must have management experience
  • Must be an effective communicator and organizer who can work independently with multiple stakeholders
  • Must have experience producing content platforms intended to be consumed across multiple digital channels
  • Must have experience managing complex production schedules and balancing multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience using Adobe’s suite of tools (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder) to edit TV-style production is preferred
  • Ability to create graphics with After Effects or Cinema4D is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environment
  • Professional manner, positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work long/flexible hours, including all Celtics home games as well as evenings, weekends and holidays when needed
