Financial Aid Coordinator Job Details

The Financial Aid Coordinator at NCSA works in a variety of fast-paced environments on concurrent client engagements to provide quality customer service that promotes top quality client experience. This position is tasked with handling all inbound and outbound family calls, responding to client email requests to alter or cancel their membership, making necessary adjustments to client payment schedules and amounts, pro-actively working on projects to try and reduce the overall cancel percentage of families, and answering any incoming communications from families.

Responsibilities

Provide support to families and diligently resolve membership concerns and inquiries in a timely manner
Maintain a heightened level of customer service while handling calls pertaining to collection issues, customer payments, and cancellations
Provide support to the Scout Force and Coaching Team on matters relating to payments and membership alterations
Handle incoming calls and voicemails to the NCSA Financial Aid Payments Queue in a helpful manner to overcome obstacles and retain clients
Provide high level customer service that promotes customer experience and decreases escalated cancel situation.
Meet with the Financial Aid Manager on a monthly basis to discuss strategic areas of improvement in work flow.
Focus on improving client experience and decreasing overall cancel percentages.
Make all necessary adjustments to client payment schedules and amounts.
Manage the Financial Aid Inbox and to respond to all communications in an appropriate and timely manner.
This Position reports directly to the Financial Aid Manager

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
Former college athlete or coach strongly preferred
Prior experience with collections a plus
Exceptional time management skills
Outgoing personality with a great phone presence
Ability to work in a competitive, fast-paced environment
Solid understanding and experience of MS Office
Proven experience in customer service
Experience in inside sales preferred
Ability to prioritize, balance, and complete multiple daily tasks
