Research Analyst

What You’ll Do:

• Create custom research reports for broadcast and research clients
• Support live broadcasts with research assistance
• Handle statistical requests from clients with accurate and timely responses
• Write SQL scripts to query the STATS’ proprietary database
• Apply internal research tools to generate compelling statistical storylines
• Use software tools to create data visualizations
• Contribute to group projects for big events
• Regularly work nights and/or weekends

What You’ll Bring:

• A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other analytical field
• A strong familiarity with and interest in professional/college sports
• Ability to analyze sports statistics and present them creatively for use in a broadcast environment
• Knowledge or experience in SQL / Oracle database scripting
• Ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere
• Ability to produce error-free work under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in statistical research and analysis in the sports field
• Experience in sports television production
• Experience with PL/SQL coding
• Experience with Tableau data visualization software
• Experience with Photoshop
• Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
