Position Description:
The NBA Legal Department provides advice and counsel with respect to all of the company's activities and businesses on a global basis. As the Associate Counsel, NBA 2K League, you will be responsible for supporting all legal, governance, business and operational matters involving the NBA 2K League across all functions.

Major Responsibilities:
- Support NBA 2K League and team operations, including player contract administration, player/coach discipline, drug testing, and international clearances and visas
- Assist with drafting and implementing league rules/operations manual across all business areas
- Draft and negotiate license, sponsorship, and other agreements relating to the operation of the NBA 2K League business
- Contribute to NBA 2K League strategy development and execution
- Advise clients on various NBA 2K League-related issues, including compliance with league rules, standards and policies
- Support and coordinate with other groups within the NBA Legal department, including IP enforcement, compliance and litigation, to administer and manage NBA 2K League assets
- Advise team counsel on matters relating to the operation, marketing and promotion of NBA 2K League teams
- Assist in minimizing liabilities and risks for NBA 2K League and teams
- Manage/handle dispute resolution

Required Experience & Knowledge:
- High level of communication, organizational and project management skills necessary to effectively support and advise clients across all business units
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills
- Creative problem-solving skills to assist in meeting business needs and seizing new opportunities while mitigating risk and managing key relationships
- High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
- High level of enthusiasm and interest in gaming and eSports
- 4-6 years of experience at a top tier law firm and/or corporate legal department

Educational Background Required:

Admission to practice in the State of New York
JD from a top tier law school
