Job Summary
Overview
Working under the direction of the SR Manager, this position is responsible for the implementation and management of Spurs Sports & Entertainment community based outreach programs, traditional SR programs, as well as being an integral member of the Social Responsibility department. The ability to use independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize workload. Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage various Spurs Sports & Entertainment Social Responsibility community programs for Spurs, Rampage, Stars and San Antonio FC.
- Serve as liaison to franchise league Social Responsibility departments; implement and manage league initiatives for our teams.
- Develop and ensure execution of marketing plans and budget management for aforementioned franchise programs.
- Creatively implement new ways to involve staff/players/coaches into program and build investment amongst internal & external clients.
- Effectively communicate status reports to Community Responsibility team and other internal clients.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Four-year degree required
- Community building and programming experience
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high level positions.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
- Strong teamwork aptitude required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- The ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Stand/Sit/Walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to travel/spend time in office 50% of time.
- Strong writing and public speaking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Access
- Flexible schedule to include working some nights and weekends
- Must be able to assist and participate in physical fitness events and lift 40+ pounds
- Knowledge of local issues and a strong desire to help serve the San Antonio area community
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of and established contacts in San Antonio school districts a plus
- Computer experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or a survey software a plus
