Position Summary: The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and sharing business requirements globally. The ideal candidate will be a person who thrives on learning all aspects of the industry and can proactively develop a thorough knowledge of the business, working independently and within a larger team. We are seeking a self-starter with a passion for requirements gathering for multiple brand multi language global B2B and B2C websites.

 

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze and document business, technical, functional requirements.
  • Work closely with business to come up with innovative ways to provide enhancements to all web properties.
  • Work closely with developers to translate requirements to functional document
  • Capture current state and define future state: flow diagrams, context diagrams, data definitions.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to end-users.
  • Perform acceptance testing and sign off and as needed provide test execution, capture track defects.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, test plans and test scripts or test cases.
  • Define requirements by working closely with various business globally: Sales, Product Management, Marketing and other departments.
  • Interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate defining requirements, identifying open gaps and closing out open questions.
  • Create visual screen mock-ups and wire-frames.
  • Express requirements in a simplified fashion to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
  • Leverage a breath of tools to clearly and unambiguously define scope and requirements.
  • Create RFI documents. Analyze responses.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business administration or accounting or marketing or computer and information science [OR] relevant experience.
  • Active Listening and paraphrasing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with web design and/or web-based applications
  • Experience with mobile devices, applications, and/or technologies
  • Experience with defect tracking and reporting processes
  • Experience with requirements management processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Must be able to travel for business throughout Canada, US and Internationally.

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Understanding Web technologies, UX/UI
  • SQL proficiency
