Job Summary

CTP has a great opportunity for a Social Media Producer to collaborate across the various disciplines within our agency and clients to create engaging and effective social media campaigns, for a range of exciting brands.

We are seeking a creative and strategically minded individual who has experience developing and nurturing online communities. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise in social platforms and must be able to develop end-to-end strategies and executions that engage audiences, drive participation and ultimately grow following. The candidate must understand how social platforms fit within a digital marketing mix, including blogs, SEO, influencer marketing, and should have excellent written and verbal communications skills.

This position will be part of our integrated, cross-channel team, and is passionate about delivering results while uncovering and relaying the latest tools and technologies that can be leveraged for clients.

Ideal candidate would have 3-4 years experience managing social media programs within an agency or on the client side.

Primary Responsibilities:

Platform Management:

  • Fluent across all social media platforms;
  • Strategy: Understands the role of each distinct platform and best practices;
  • Operational: Understands how to use each to post content, run analytics, manage communities, etc.
  • Skilled in the latest features/functionality and nuances of each platform and savvy with the tools related to social media;
  • Knowledgeable about the platforms and processes and able to execute paid social programs.

Client Management:

  • Familiar with the role of social within the broader marketing communications ecosystem;
  • Able to hold strategic discussions with clients and understand their needs;
  • Adept at managing clients and multi-disciplinary internal teams across multiple projects simultaneously to ensure brand consistency;
  • Remain on trend to take advantage of new social opportunities;
  • Understanding the role of various internal teams and when to leverage their expertise (PR, Digital, Creative, Media, Analytics);
  • Able to conduct Influencer Marketing programs.

Project Management:

  • Detail oriented and possessing an acumen for operational skills required to coordinate work across an agency;
  • Manage status documents, weekly client calls, content calendar, asset management, etc;
  • Proficient at creating estimates and schedules for projects and adhering to them.

Channel Management:

  • Understand and nurture cross-channel voice of the brand; Become the brand steward;
  • Convey our clients' brand stories in the words, images and video that capture who they are;
  • Engage with communities to generate participation and ultimately grow each client’s presence on social media channels, including (but not limited to) Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn;
  • Baseline familiarity with programs needed to make basic creative changes to social content: Full Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, After Effects, Premiere.  
  • Create ideas for each brand that break through social media clutter;
  • Monitor results and turn them into actionable insights.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 3-4 years experience managing social media programs within an agency or client side;
  • Conceptual thinker who can liaise with internal and external groups to create and execute social strategy;
  • Writing experience, with a keen eye for detail and excellent proofreading abilities;
  • Experience with consumer and B2B audiences;
  • Proven project management skills and superior communication skills;
  • Solid presentation skills and the ability to sell your work to other members of the team;
  • Prior agency experience preferred;
  • Bachelor's degree.
