Data Engineer

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Data Engineer IV based in our Daytona or Charlotte office.

The Data Engineer IV is responsible for the creation and administration of all relational database systems used within the organization.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Design, modify, develop, write and implement complex database designs – this includes entity relationship diagrams, stored procedures, SSIS packages, SSRS and other data driven activities

Monitor, optimize and enhance the company’s current database systems – while looking for ways to improve these critical systems. 

Work with key company team members as well as technology partners like Microsoft to develop new / efficient enterprise data structures and methods.

Design, code and debug database solutions

Provide technical support to project team members

Support, maintain and document database systems and functionality

Implement localization or globalization of database systems used at the company

Project planning and management for all database related activities

Travel: 5% including weekends

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school and six (6) to nine (9) years of experience in database design, extensive database architecture experience (On-premises and Azure solutions).
• Able to leverage PaaS, and be highly skilled in SQL DBA functions and server optimization.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

MCSA preferred.
