Coordinator, Racing Communications

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join our team in the position Coordinator, Racing Communicationsbased in our Daytona Beach, FL office. 

Provide communication services to IMC Racing Communications team and company at-track Competition division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Travel to national series events as a member of the Racing Communications team, providing on-site communications services in the media center, garage and other areas as assigned

• Assist with weekly safety programs including communications agendas, incident chains and safety team notifications by compiling vital safety documentation and other pertinent information and disseminating to all relevant at-track personnel

• Contribute to weekly correspondence for IMC team, acquiring track credentials and disseminating travel schedules and weekly track logistics information

• Assist with internal and external communication for the NASCAR NEXT program and other key initiatives

• Provide proactive, strategic media relations in advance of national series events

• Produce content and pitch key storylines to regional and national media

• Assist with special projects as assigned, including end-of-year awards ceremonies, the NASCAR Drive 4 Diversity program and Media Days in support of major events

• Estimated travel 70%, including weekends

QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and 1-3 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, and/or Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sports, agency, and/or in-house experience working on big brands required. Integrated marketing communications experience a plus.
