Description
NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join our team in the position of Producer based in our Charlotte office. The Producer oversee all aspects of the sports cars series digital media productions including creative storytelling and presentation of the series through vignettes, webisodes and social media.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and execute all editorial and creative elements for the sports car series’ non-live productions and digital platform
Oversee the production of projects from initial concept through scripting, storyboarding, production, and distribution
Produce all live cut feeds of secondary sports car series’ events on location; complete editing process from the office
Develop creative “look” for the sports car series, including digital elements and productions; develop new ideas for the sports car series’ digital platform
Produce and oversee assigned staff’s production of projects, including, but not limited to, researching materials, operating edit system, working with post production team on audio mix, finish edit, music, field shoots, script writing, etc.
Use talent, skill and knowledge of best practices to edit material to specified lengths and reassemble segments in sequences that present story with maximum effect
Evaluate and select scenes in terms of dramatic and entertainment value and story continuity
Oversee creative review process of projects and productions to ensure quality and accuracy
Work with production team to create video materials for promoters, teams, manufacturers, sponsors, and agencies.
Write, rewrite, combine, and polish scripts and storyboards, as necessary, to prepare for production
Represent company, acting as liaison to independent producer of television series produced for network broadcast
Determine key roles necessary to produce specific project
Determine, allocate, and monitor technical and financial resources necessary to complete project
Coordinate and manage activities of project team members, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget
Understand and follows the rights and clearances practices of the company
Attend all sports car series events to oversee and produce digital media content as required
Travel: 60% including weekends.
Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient on company provided hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient on Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier editing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Well organized and be flexible to shifting priorities
Ability to carry out duties with little direct supervision
Strong attention to detail
Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate deadlines
Familiar with camera and audio equipment
Knowledge of auto racing, its personalities and history – specifically sports cars
