Job Summary

Basic Function: Oversee all personnel-related initiatives across the organization, serving as the primary resource for all aspects of human resource management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee USA Hockey’s recruiting efforts for regular, intern and temporary talent;
  • Provide leadership and team-building consulting and coaching at all levels in helping the organization meet its business objectives;
  • Coach, lead and provide guidance in the development of talent across all functional areas including workforce planning, structure and restructure, training, and succession planning;
  • Proactively establish norms and guidelines for all employment practices across the organization;
  • Serve as primary contact for all senior level talent recruitment;
  • Assist in the formalization of the organization’s Diversity & Inclusion program, including identification of the most appropriate leadership, framework, and initiatives;
  • Develop and lead a consistent, well-communicated, and well-documented performance evaluation process of all employees on an annual basis to ensure the highest operational standards;
  • Establish a formal orientation process for all new hires as well as an off-boarding process for exiting employees;
  • Help ensure that each employee has an opportunity to reach his/her full potential;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full understanding of all Federal, Colorado and other applicable state employment laws;
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and mediate sensitive and/or confrontational matters;
  • Solid understanding of business and each of its components;
  • Ability to think strategically and work well with team leaders;
  • Strong leadership, analytical and communication and listening skills;
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality on all HR issues, information and records
  • Five years-experience as a Human Resources professional;
  • Minimum BA/BS degree; Masters a plus;
  • PHR (Professional in HR) certification preferred
