Job Summary

  A visible and strategic role in EA’s Global Engagement and Acquisition Marketing team, the Global Lifecycle Marketing (GLM) CRM Content Strategist will plan and report on retention, engagement and re-acquisition strategy & content for EA SPORTS titles including Madden, Madden Ultimate Team, NBA Live and more. Reporting to the GLM Senior CRM Content Strategist, the ideal candidate will be part of a team that develops, executes and optimizes relationship marketing and live service campaigns across email, in-game and paid media channels, and specifically will use campaign data, player data, and consumer insights to improve player journeys and help create valuable long-term relationships with our players.

 

This role will be based in Orlando, Florida

 

Summary

 

The GLM Team’s primary goal is to deepen player engagement with our titles, drive customer loyalty, and increase lifetime value by leveraging customer behavioral and transactional data to deliver relevant marketing content through multiple touch points across digital channels.

 

The CRM Content Strategist will combine data-led analysis with creative thinking to develop comprehensive lifecycle and conversion strategies for EA SPORTS, working closely with cross-functional internal teams and stakeholders to ensure business goals are being met and that creative content is closely aligned with goals, distribution channels and target demographics.

 

Responsibilities of this role include:

 

Content Strategy:

 

  • Championing our players: partner across EA’s cross-functional disciplines (global communications, brand marketing, analytics & consumer insights, publishing, creative and development) to develop global lifecycle marketing strategies that will drive player engagement, satisfaction, loyalty, and LTV.
  • Develop both targeted and triggered lifecycle strategies to fulfill acquisition, engagement and loyalty objectives.
  • Drive innovation and efficiencies across established (email, in-game) and emerging (push-notes, SMS) channels, ensuring that these channels work in sync with Media and Strategic Partnerships.
  • Develop strategies to increase contactability within EA’s player-base.
  • Support overarching go-to-market strategy with integrated communication plans, driving to match content to audience and opportunity.

 

Cross-functional team partnership:

 

  • Take broad audience insights and turn them into actionable target cohorts, with specific needs and goals.
  • Drive channel and cohort-specific strategy, and work closely with cross-functional content and creative teams to ensure that we have the best content for our audience.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Business-related field required, preferably Marketing.
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role, CRM, engagement/lifecycle marketing, direct marketing or email marketing.
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to clearly articulate and implement plans.
  • Loves games.
  • Knowledge of online metrics, email metrics and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficient with Microsite Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with data
  • Self-starter and pro-active.

Success Measurement

  • Successful growth of the Global Lifecycle Marketing team’s impact on EA’s business – as measured by customer loyalty, engagement, and LTV.
  • Ability to keep everyone (Marketing Infrastructure and Operations, Global Communications Group, Brand Marketing, Creative, Media & Publishing Partners) aligned and tracking towards established timelines. 
  • Active development of lifecycle and engagement marketing best practices at EA.

 

This is a 12 month contract position
