Job Summary
OVERVIEW
Sportradar, the global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data and digital content, is seeking a Sales Director specifically to build its gaming relationship with lottery organizations and various gaming platforms.
In anticipation of industry changes around legalized betting and gambling in the US, Sportradar is creating a team of experienced, knowledgeable, determined Sales leaders to join its US team.
The Sales Director, Gaming will play a crucial role for Sportradar, managing both existing client relationships and acquiring new clients, specifically with lottery organizations and platform clients, who drive significant revenue for the business.
This position requires previous experience selling to major revenue clients, superior communication skills, and a forward thinking and strategic mentality. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of sales and account management, and experience working directly with Sportradar's key customer segments, including sports, casinos and lottery.
Our team is focused on building strong partnerships and relationships, and enhancing the Sportradar brand. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, and has a great sense of ownership and pride in what they contribute to the team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and manage a deal pipeline of high-revenue client accounts.
- Collect Market Intelligence to identify client targets.
- Serve as the initial point of contact externally to uncover and clarify prospect needs, align business objectives with Sportradar's portfolio of products, refine and propose a solution and develop the business case.
- Proactively maintain broad-based domain knowledge of the key client segments and emerging market opportunities.
- Seek out, synthesize, and deliver relevant, targeted insights to prospects that influence C-level decision making.
- Prepare and conduct sales presentations for clients.
- Work closely with the Product Team to organize client feedback on required product features to win new business.
- Work closely with Marketing Team to maximize exposure to key account targets and leverage current relationships for marketing opportunities.
- Create and deliver compelling, customized sales presentations that address the core business issues and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with other Sportradar team members to ensure alignment and integration of sales strategies, projects and programs for successful implementation and execution.
- Attend relevant conferences, representing Sportradar.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years of experience in high-profile sales, account management, partnerships or business development role.
- Experience selling B2B solutions to industry-specific clients.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify sales opportunities, prior experience in gaming preferred.
- Experience identifying key decision makers and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to become deeply immersed in the betting/gambling ecosystems. Prior experience and contacts are a plus.
- Wiling to travel up to 50% for client meetings, industry conferences, and other business purposes.
- Able to think analytically, navigate complex and lengthy sales cycles, and create own pipeline & roadmap to convert prospects to clients.
- Strong organizational, issue resolution, and decision-making skills are required.
- Superior verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to recognize, analyze and take action on go-to-market approaches, marketing programs, joint value propositions and business cases around partnerships.
- Self-motivation and professional discipline with excellent follow-through.
- Polished PowerPoint present skills.
- Must be able to work well with others as part of a team.
- Experience working in a global organization.
- Knowledge of sports, betting/gambling and technology preferred.
