Job Summary
Description
Category Sales Director– NIKE USA, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Direct and lead Commerce Teams and accounts that drive Sportswear Category Offense. Develop and manage market strategies and guide Category Sales and Commerce Teams to align functions and territories. Develop category merchandising and sales strategies to maximize revenue, profit, and market share. Create market strategies for long-term sustainable growth and deliver integrated product stories. Lead consumer insight and market analysis. Provide accurate forecasting, scenario planning, and account financial planning based on marketplace capacity, market-share availability, and consumer demand. Establish policies to prioritize retailers and develop a consumer focused account strategy. Maximize retailer profitability through market analysis and financial planning for long-term sustainable growth. Guide Category Sales Team to deliver against business strategy and priority objectives. Develop go-to-market leadership and consumer-focused assortment plans and integrated category merchandising plans by channel of distribution and consumer experience. Manage budget and category growth and develop seasonal, quarterly, annual and three-year revenue plans. Conduct research to estimate market demand, marketplace performance, and identify growth opportunities through SKU productivity, category stock, and sales analysis. Will travel up 25% of the time domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field. Will also accept no Bachelor’s degree. Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience in sales related positions, such as Sales Representative, Account Services Representative, Business Planner, Category Analyst, Strategic Account Executive, Retail Brand Presentation Coordinator, or similar position or no Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in sales related positions, such as Sales Representative, Account Services Representative, Business Planner, Category Analyst, Strategic Account Executive, Retail Brand Presentation Coordinator, or similar position Skills/Requirements: 8 years of experience : (1) sales, retail, or product marketing management at national level, (2) working with brands in wholesale and vertical environments across sporting goods, fashion, and lifestyle spaces, 4 years of experience: (3) working within retail math and metrics, analyzing market competitiveness, consumer/retail trends and using financial data to make sales decisions and maximize account profitability, (4) working with sales processes, policies, and procedures, (5) working in a corporate matrix environment, and cross-functionally with marketing, operations, merchandising, category and retail planning, 3 years of experience: (6) managing a Go To Market process including overseeing time-sensitive gates, strategies and product launches, 2 years of experience: (7) managing national retail accounts, (8) working with product development and creating product briefs, (9) working with field sales to develop product assortments for footwear, apparel, or accessories, (10) strategic business planning, forecasting, planning product assortments, and financial management including creating and managing a budget (11) directing and leading a process, function or team and presenting to groups, including seniors leaders, and (12) developing strategic category sales plans for retailers with at least $30 million in annual revenue, and managing large product lines across national fleet of doors with several hundred products SKUs on a quarterly basis.
