Job Summary
Description
As our Director, Digital Marketplace Management you'll be the face and voice of Marketplace Management for Nike to manage the grey market, digital presentation and paid search. Collaborate with key partners including, but not limited to, Geography MPD Sr. Director, Geography Marketplace Management, Global Nike Direct, Global Retail Marketing, Global Brand Protection, Geography Sales, Nike Direct, Nike Tech, Marketplace Operations
All Areas:
• Determine MPM 1-3 year strategy
• Lead liquidation strategy across all functions (NikeDirect, Commerce Finance, Legal)
• Align Global Policy; develop policy communications strategy
• Be the Business Sponsor for all UPID initiatives
• Provide information and recommendations to inform action
• Aggregate and summarize reporting
• Provide guidance on operating model, process, tools
• Coordinate internal tools to automate processes
• Explore new technologies, processes and innovations to more thoroughly and efficiently deliver results
• Liaison with Global Marketplace Management to influence guidelines, policies, process. Share learned best practices across Geographies for potential Global adoption
Grey Market:
• Establish process and investigative frameworks to identify, investigate, track and react to known / potential unauthorized sellers and authorized retailers transshipping of Nike products
• Establish a formal bookings review process for all Geographies. Determined approach to ensure process is being adopted, applied and adhered to
• Standardize tools across Geographies to more efficient identify unauthorized sellers. Coordinate internal tools to automate processes
• Establish potential grey market activity id criteria
• Develop a weekly report / dashboard to aggregate Geography progress
• Facilitate summit with external retail companies (non-competitive)
• Develop policy communications strategy for Sales and other functional meetings; share accountabilities
Digital Presentation
• Align Global Policy (terms & conditions) and/or standards in partnership with Integrated Retail Marketing and the Global Sales Content Center of Excellence
• Aggregate and summarize reporting
• Provide guidance on operating model, process, tools
• Act as Business Sponsor for product presentation policy initiatives
• Aggregate top of production needs and partner with the Global Sales Content Center of Excellence to address the need
• Provide information and recommendations to inform action
Paid Search
• Develop and maintain paid search (e.g. AdWords) policy in partnership with Nike Direct teams for Global Accounts and platforms
• Aggregate and summarize reporting
• Provide guidance on operating model, process, tools
• Act as Business Sponsor for paid search initiatives
• Provide information and recommendations to inform action
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications or related field or 2 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 10 yrs relevant work experience in retail digital commerce, athletic and/or consumer products industries with key experience in Retail (multi-channel/Digital)
• Minimum of 5 yrs relevant work experience in marketplace management, digital commerce, brand protection, digital loss prevention with key experience in Retail (digital and physical retail)
• Strong proven abilities designing, developing, managing and implementing retail programs, policies, procedures, and methodologies
• Demonstrates strong capabilities in stakeholder/matrix management across Global and Geography
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly articulate strategy/goals/objectives/tactics/results
• Ability to champion needs cross functionally and influence where necessary (across various levels of the organization)
• Ability to lead teams, both direct and indirect and drive functional leadership
• Forecasts resource needs and manages budgets
