Title: Valuation, Consulting & Marketing Services Intern

Term: Summer 2018

Reports to: Vice President & Senior Manager, Valuation & Consulting

Description: Two (2) Open Positions

• This position will work directly with the Vice President and Senior Manager of Premier’s Valuation & Consulting division. The primary tasks will be to support the department through a variety of high-level valuation and consulting projects. Tasks include:
  • Sponsorship analysis, strategic marketing and market research
  • Maintain research, sales and CRM databases
• Additional support may include:
  • Participating in brainstorming and strategy sessions with consulting team
  • Analyzing information and updating the marketing and research databases
  • Researching trends in a special interest area of marketing/sponsorship
• The second area of responsibility is to work directly with the Marketing Services team in supporting the successful implementation of sponsorship projects for Premier’s current client portfolio. Day-to-day tasks will vary but may include sponsorship analysis, strategic marketing, collateral development, market research, etc.
• This position will have the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s top executives, teams, sponsors and other sports and entertainment organizations and will be expected to have a willingness to play a role in other areas of Premier’s day-to-day business operations, as identified over the course of the internship program.

Requirements:

Premier Partnerships is looking for a candidate who will have achieved, or be rising to, a standing as a junior by the beginning of Fall 2018 semester, and/or a rising senior who will be standing as a senior by the beginning of Fall 2018. The internship will be for the duration of a summer semester and candidates should expect to work a minimum 20 hours per week, depending on their schedule and availability. All candidates are required to be eligible receive academic credit for the internship.

Qualifications:

• Successful candidate should have work/educational experience in sponsorship, marketing, or a related field
• Strong research and analytical skills combined with a healthy curiosity to want to dig deeper
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment while managing their own work independently
• Exceptional communication skills across writing, speaking and relationship management
• Attention to detail and a desire to put out the best possible product for our clients and internal staff
• Having a strong sense of ideation and creativity and willingness to explore our industry
• Interest in sports business is a plus, but a desire to build strong collaborative partnerships is a must
• Excellent project management and administrative skills and a desire to move projects along in a positive way
• Working knowledge of web and/or graphic design is a plus
• Basic to intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills (e.g., working knowledge of importing/exporting, pivot table, formatting, etc.)
• Additional experience and familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office across Word and Outlook
