Job Summary

Purpose: The Sr. Category Manager on the Digital Brand Commerce team is responsible for holistic product strategy and execution; including on-site merchandising, promotion and content for the US eCommerce storefronts. This role is responsible for overarching business success and works with the Director of US eCommerce to understand brand and business strategies and then translate them into a best in class shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive business success across all categories on multiple US eCommerce storefronts

Actively manage a team of category managers in order to drive business success

Primary digital consumer expert

Lead team of category-focused experts across eCommerce and brand teams– influencing and executing seasonal product activation plans and content needs.

Drive and influence Digital Marketing to support category directives and strategies. Collaborates with cross-functional counterparts to maintain Brand integrity.

Drive and influence User Experience and Global Asset team to deliver best in class product imagery, assets, and UX design strategies for your category

Understands the competitive landscape and is current with relevant online merchandising trends and innovations

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Strong Business acumen and general P&L experience

Experience leading cross-functional high-performance teams

Strong project management skills, including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and the ability to manage complex projects on a regional level

Ability to drive small & large teams to solutions on production and project issues, including teams of internal business customers and external vendors.

Understanding of Web Analytics, Reporting and Key Performance indicators along with the ability to relate this information to platform functionality and site content

Understanding of eCommerce platform and related tools along with eCommerce content

Excellent problem solving skills – able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various technical and business issues

Working knowledge of HTLM5, JavaScript, css and responsive design is a plus.

Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). MS Access and Adobe Photoshop knowledge a plus.

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail

High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital and media trends

Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build successful relationships within a team and cross-functionally.

Ability to exercise good judgment and effectively use decision making skills, confidently handling ambiguous situations and/or issues that may arise.

The ability to create, plan and deliver presentations

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to internal and external clients and vendors, both verbally and in writing

A passion for delivering data-based recommendations for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or related field.

A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a combination of consumer experience and Business eCommerce experience.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
