Job Summary

Role Purpose

To ensure sales target are met monthly and annually, servicing dealers and customers, forecast sales and update merchandising in the local market.

To assist Business Development aG and Commercial Manager to drive business growth of TMaG in Malaysia. New channel & accounts development and volume growth among existing customers

Primary Accountabilities

Sales Target:

  • Ensure that the assigned sales target are met diligently
  • Work closely with the management team on sales target settings and revision of target in order to meet the company’s objectives whenever is necessary
  • Work closely with the trade dealers to optimize and maximize sales
  • Capture & create new sales opportunities

Sales Forecast:

  • Submit sales forecast on time
  • Ensure that the sales forecast is at its best estimate with the relevant knowledge of the market demands

Sales Promotional Activity"

  • Create new & updated sales promotional activity plans for the assigned area of sales responsibility.
  • Analyze the effectiveness and success of the promotional activities
  • Work closely with trade dealers and other team members in sharing of ideas and any success stories
  • Ensure that the trade dealers are accepting and complying to make our promotional activities a huge success.

Sales Execution

  • To visit trade dealers & their store outlets on a regular basis
  • Represent TMAG in all aspects of sales activities:
    • Presentation of new products & samples as when necessary
    • Taking all sales order & ensuring the orders are key into the system and are being fulfilled
    • Ensure that customer account receivable are met within companys DSO target
    • Monitoring customer inventory and tracking sell thru of customer inventory on a monthly basis
    • Participate in managing inventory by having integrated sales planning and order management to achieve stock turn target
    • Proposed promotional activities to the trade dealers & get their participation
    • Ensure that our company’s products are well represented and display at the retail outlets
    • Ensure that all POS materials are well displayed and updated at all the retail outlets (dealers & own)
    • Ensure that trade dealers are abiding with our pricing & product policies
    • Provide excellent sales service to build a strong trade relationship and maintain customers and consumers satisfaction at all times
    • Provide feedback to the direct superior on the market & competitors’ activities on a regular basis (minimum weekly)
    • Participate actively in all sales events like demo, bazzar and etc
    • Provide sales solution & impart company’s & product knowledge to the trade dealers and their staff periodically.

Sales Role:

  • Present yourself professionally at all times to the customers & internal parties
  • Carry positive attitude at all times
  • Communicate regularly and openly on all issues
  • Accept responsibilities and order whenever being assigned
  • Setting good examples and leadership to direct reports if any

Seasonal Sell-in & Order Consolidation:

  • Preparation for seasonal sell-in meeting with the support of local marketing team – date setting, venue set-up preparation, screen presentation materials, fashion show, catalogue & other literatures
  • Consolidation of customers order
  • Confirmation on final seasonal purchase plan jointly with Sales Manager

New Channel & Account Development:

  • Assist Business Development Manager to increase distribution by increasing channels & accounts in order to achieve the set net sales and net contribution targets
  • Maximization of productivity per store
    • To increase aG in-store space and sell-in per door to existing customers
  • Corporate Sales
    • To identify potential corporate sales client and initiate contact & product presentation
    • To follow up with corporate accounts developed by regional team to maximize sales & promotion opportunities
    • Updating corporate sales forecast & control material inventory

Pre-requisites Knowledge / Skills / Addendum

  • Strong Sales Skills
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years in relevant position in relevant experience.
  • Wide network of contacts and excellent understanding of the industry.
  • Communications and climate setting
  • Relationship building up, down, sideways for the retail division
  • Should have car and willing to travel
