Job Summary

The Role: 

 

Join us as a Global Brand Director within the EA SPORTS Global Brand Management team based out of EA’s award-winning Tiburon studio in Orlando, FL. As a direct report to the Senior Director of Global Brand Management, your primary responsibility will drive the brand vision and roadmap for our football and basketball franchises, Madden NFL and NBA LIVE, which means partnering with key stakeholders to further the brand identity and experience across all touchpoints that will inspire players across the globe.

 

You will have expertise in a wide range of brand applications, which you will draw upon to ensure that we are laser focused on the needs of current and prospective players and that we deliver compelling positioning and strategies to guide our organization. You will have a rare mix of strategic, creative and analytical talents, and the capability to lead and motivate large and diverse cross functional teams. And, you will have a passion for sports, games, and building admired, culturally relevant brands.

 

  • Author a long-term brand blueprint inclusive of the vision, architecture, identity, positioning, performance targets, and strategy of our brands.
  • Champion a multi-year innovation roadmap spanning platforms, products and services, in support of the brand blueprint, to meet player motivations and needs.
  • Ask the right questions, uncover and curate deep actionable player insights with Global Analytics & Insights.
  • Define the target audience and key cohorts we seek to engage and the player motivations and needs states that will appeal to them.
  • Uncover cultural, marketplace and competitive trends in- and outside the gaming industry.
  • Identify and prioritize white space opportunities for ideation.
  • Author best-in-class innovation practices, processes and briefs and foster an environment across the studio in which team members are motivated to generate breakthrough ideas.
  • Facilitate (and participate) cross-functional brainstorms and workshops to inspire disruptive concepts that uniquely satisfy unmet player needs and business opportunities.
  • Seamlessly transition brand plans to the Brand Managers to commercialize with Product Development, Campaign & Communications, and the Publishing organization.
  • Effectively present the brand, player and product story across the organization, including executive updates, stage gate check-ins, and annual publisher meeting.
  • Share and seek best practices across the organization.

 

Experience Requirements:

 

  • 10+ years of B2C brand and product marketing experience.
  • Architect of long-term brand vision, positioning and strategies across a portfolio.
  • Innovation specialist who can unlock and inspire critical thinking beyond norms.
  • Experience curating, mining, analyzing and synthesizing data/insights from myriad sources.
  • Identifying, segmenting and express audience targets and what drives them to engage.
  • Presents complex plans into succinct stories with stage presence. 
  • Proven success at leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership qualities with an executive presence and acumen.
  • Previous management of new-age digital products and real-time services.
