Job Summary
SUMMARY: The Boston Uprising Social Media Coordinator will have a passion for gaming, esports and player communities. He/she will execute the Boston Uprising team's social media strategy with the goal of maximizing the reach and growth of our overall audience, both domestically and internationally. The social media coordinator will coordinate all messaging from the Boston Uprising primary accounts and will maintain brand voice and tone in all posts and messaging. The social media coordinator will monitor Boston Uprising brand mentions and maintain a positive dialogue with fans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing all messaging for the Boston Uprising primary accounts across all relevant social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and other relevant platforms.
- Optimize social media efforts to maximize post and campaign success
- Lead social listening efforts to ensure rapid response to emerging trends and opportunities
- Attend team practices and matches to execute storytelling and create real time social content using behind the scenes photos and video
- Create detailed social campaigns for Boston Uprising including teasers, sweepstakes, giveaways, etc
- Collaborate and brainstorm with the digital media team and share calendars and weekly schedules to maximize content opportunities
- Monitor and present relevant data, trends, successes, failures, etc. to drive continuous improvement and optimization
- Leverage user generated content to develop deep fan engagement platforms
- Special projects as business dictates.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- One to three years of corporate or brand representation experience across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram.
- A passionate gamer with deep knowledge of Overwatch and demonstrated experience with esports required
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exemplary written communication skills
- High level editing/proofreading skills
- Attentiveness to detail
- Creative, highly motivated individual
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to live in Los Angeles for 1-2 years and be willing to relocate when team returns to Boston
