Job Summary

Under Armour is looking for a demand planning and/or supply chain expert to lead the demand planning responsibilities for our Sports Marketing Department.  The Planning Lead will have the opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing brand in a critical role for one of our most important and unique departments.  Passion, desire, and integrity are the traits we look for in our teammates.  The candidate will play a key role in helping to develop, implement and execute our financial and inventory planning processes with a focus on ensuring we are able to service our various assets, athletes and marketing events throughout the region.  This individual will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Product and Supply Chain to ensure successful delivery of our critical product stories. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.  Other duties may be assigned:

  • Work closely with Finance and Marketing teams to establish and align on seasonal and fiscal financial targets that are within budget and achievable; measure progress against these targets to ensure optimal use of resources
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams to identify key products and assortments to build inventory against; align key brand stories with our product offerings to bring UA to life on our key marketing assets
  • Build, maintain, and evaluate an accurate and stable demand plan that sits within budget and ensures successful and on-time delivery of product for all customers under the Sports Marketing umbrella, including athletes, endorsers, collegiate and high school teams, and grass-root marketing events
  • Collaborate with our Supply Planning team to be sure that all buys are placed on the appropriate timeline; communicate supply chain shortages or delays to the relevant business partners to avoid any unexpected challenges
  • Drive and publish monthly analysis that reflects the effectiveness of the demand plan to identify risk and opportunities in the short term as well as continuous improvement opportunities to the overall process
  • Contribute to over-arching demand planning processes across the North America region to ensure successful forecasts and inventory alignment for al channels of business

  • Excellent leadership and partnership skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience in systems and programs relative to planning processes.  Excel skills imperative.  Exposure to Logility system a plus.
  • Experience in building accurate, detailed forecasts and/or executing complex buy plans in a large business.  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management or related field; or relevant work experience. 
  • Minimum 4 years planning or financial analysis experience at an elevated level in a progressive & growth focused retail organization.
  • Excel skills imperative.  Experience in systems and programs relative to planning processes.                                                  
  • Excellent partnership skills with ability to influence both senior and junior teammates throughout the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex quantitative data.
  • Strong presentation skills.
