Sports Medicine Physician

The purpose of Campus Health & Wellbeing is to help students achieve and maintain academic success and lifelong health and wellbeing by providing timely and appropriate primary and acute health care, disease and injury prevention education, professional mental health, outreach, educational services and campus consultations.

The physician in this role will be known as the  Sports Medicine Physician to honor the legacy of a long-time Athletics team physician who was dedicated to the health and wellbeing of students.

The purpose of this position is to serve students, including Division I student-athletes, by providing physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of both sport and non-sport related injuries and illnesses; serve as a consultant/resource to other health care practitioners, facilitate referrals to community-based resources and interface with outside medical, surgical, and other support providers when appropriate.
