Job Summary

This is a new, full-time role that focuses on creating content across our digital channels. This creative storyteller will find tailor engaging and informative stories across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality multi-media content across all digital channels: feature articles, press releases, blogs, videos, photo essays, email communications, social posts, web copy, etc.
  • Identify and execute industry and series-specific stories with broad and regional appeal
  • Edit and adapt press releases and other content for multiple platforms and audiences
  • Work closely with internal team members to create content and effective communications strategies that promote our sport, our series and our events properly and consistently
  • Continuously measure and improve content performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and challenges in order to build a more effective editorial calendar
  • Frequently develop and test new content formats and distribution channels, champion successful practices even if they are new to the business
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, film, journalism or related discipline necessary
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in content marketing or direct copywriting
  • Excellent communication skills required, including strong grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Able to learn and understand our sport and communicate the tangibles and intangibles to consumers with the end result of increased traffic, leads and sales
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
  • Video production and editing experience a plus
  • Able to develop, organize and maintain process documentation
  • Proven dedication to meeting deadlines
  • Able to manage multiple projects, set and juggle priorities, willing to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders and respond quickly to changing circumstances
  • Able to apply technical knowledge to real-world needs
  • Able to work in a team environment while working independently as needed
  • Willing to seek assistance when necessary
  • Able and willing to work extended hours when necessary
  • High sense of ownership and personal accountability required
  • Proven record of dependability and integrity
  • Able to maintain positive demeanor, even in highly stressful or demanding situations
