Job Duties
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the individual serving in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team providing input and leadership to department wide activities and initiatives while ensuring an integrated approach to overall athletics operations and communications in line with the department's mission, vision and core values
  • Manage the strategic planning and oversight of the following external areas and staff to include Marketing and Promotions, Ticket Sales and Operations, Media Relations, Communications and Social media, Video and Technology, Game Day Fan engagement, spirit support groups and other external functions as directed.
  • Liaison with College Sports Properties to include, but not limited to, contract negotiations for sponsorship and advertising sales services and the daily on-going working relationship with the staff.
  • Liaison with Sports to include, but not limited to, contract negotiations for web page and social media services and oversight of daily department working relationship with this partner.
  • Assist with the development and establishment of various department policies
  • Serve on various university committees representing the athletics department.
  • Build quality relationships; work collaboratively and professionally with athletics and University staff, students, outside contacts and all constituencies and stakeholders on all levels.
  • Administrative coordination of university licensing program. Cultivate relationships with on campus departments, outside agencies, retail outlets and vendors. This includes but not limited to: Agency relations, agreement execution
  • Licensing strategic planning, management, development implementation
  • Sport Administrative oversight for assigned sports
  • This position will assist the Director of Athletics in the daily management of the Athletic Department and will represent the Director of Athletics in his/her absence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years administrative experience required; preferable to include administration of sports at the Division I level, or the professional level (Institution, Conference, NCAA, Professional Sports).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail required.
  • Sound working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.
  • Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Master's Degree preferred.
