Job Summary

Seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Head Women's Soccer Coach. Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Establish a sound philosophical framework by which learning outcomes from participation can be measured
  • Teach the game and assist the players in their quest to improve
  • Develop and utilize a recruiting program that attracts quality student-athletes who will contribute to the life of the College and help us build a competitive Division III program
  • Organize and manage practices and contests to include training cycles, skill development, sport strategies and rules
  • Coordinate the scheduling of practices and contests with the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities
  • Manage travel arrangements
  • Counsel student-athletes regarding life skills and other issues related to the college experience in addition to their intercollegiate athletic responsibilities
  • Prepare an annual budget that complies with College policies
  • Order and maintain all equipment
  • Oversee the program's locker room, practice and competition facilities
  • Organize pre-season and college break facilities and meals for student-athletes
  • Fundraise as appropriate and approved by the Athletic Director and the Office of Advancement
  • Manage work-study students
  • Participate on campus committees, professional development workshops and other college functions
  • Participate in Pioneer Club functions
  • Promote the program in the community and communicate with alumni and parents
  • Collaborate with the Sports Information Office in reporting all relevant team information in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned will depend on the candidate's educational and professional experience and may include, but not be limited to: game day administrator of a spring sport; instructor of a life skills course; aspects of sports information; facility supervisor/manager; intramural and club sport supervisor; assistant coach of another team.


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated history of being self-motivated to think, act and direct in ways that attract people to the program
  • Three to five years of progressively increasing responsibility in college women's soccer coaching
  • Bachelor's degree in a program related to physical education and/or athletic administration
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining student-athletes to a selective liberal arts colleges
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of video editing systems
  • Certified in CPR/AED and First Aid
  • Clean, valid driving record
