Job Summary

Job Summary: Our Department of Recreational Services, is searching for an outstanding candidate to fill the role of Competitive Sports Coordinator. This position is based at our Southeastern campus. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Supporting the development, promotion and implementation of a comprehensive competitive sports program of team
• Ensuring program quality by providing developmental instruction and training
• Assessing risk management issues involving staff, participants, and spectators
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures 
• Maintaining and updating the website for registration, schedules, scores, and standings
• Recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling student staff in the positions of program assistants, sport assistants, and officials
• Managing equipment inventory
• Developing and managing the Competitive Sports program budget

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree 
• Related coordinator experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a Master's degree in Recreation, Sports Administration or related field
• Experience specific to either Intramural or Sport Club programming
• High School or equivalent officiating experience in a variety of sports
