Job Summary

Job Summary: The Assistant Communications Director will execute the strategic plan of the Associate Athletic Director while adhering to directives, planning and accountability. The candidate will assist in the daily execution of athletic communications plan.

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing communication efforts for baseball or softball and other assigned sports
• Managing and executing social and digital media strategies
• Assisting in collaborative efforts to push the messaging of the communications
• Generating creative content and timely current/relative story lines for athletic website and University media outlets
• Reporting statistics, schedules, rosters and all other media needs
• Assisting in press conference facilitation and media interview requests

Qualifications: 

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Some graphic design skills
• Knowledge of statistical programming
• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree
