Job Summary

The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing summer camps and other clinics. This position will report directly to the Coach Education and Development Manager.


Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in planning and organization of tryouts.
Develop training program for weekly training sessions for participants.
Provide player assessment and feedback of strengths/weaknesses each season
Guide players in development of an “action plan” setting specific goals to reach a desired outcome. 
Identify talented, potential Academy players.
Attend Scouting meetings and classroom sessions.
Attend Academy training sessions to observe current players.
Organize and assist in the running of camps/clinics/tryouts throughout the year.
Assist with training for affiliate programs as needed
Ongoing assessment and mentoring of summer coaching staff, this includes regular field assessments and educational support to help in the professional development of all coaching staff.
Assist in the recruitment of all part-time coaching staff. This includes actively assessing non Atlanta United staff in the community and effectively recruiting qualified staff to our programs. 
 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Have 5 years minimum experience coaching youth, collegiate or professional soccer
Have a basic knowledge of the Development Academy rules and regulations
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
Have a college or professional playing background
Understand the recruitment process for college bound players 
Ability to speak other languages a plus
Required Skills
Possess the drive to develop youth players and work as part of a team
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills 
Be a motivated individual who can work a varied schedule of nights, weekends, and holidays
Possess strong organizational and personal management skills 
Have knowledge of scouting and how to identify talent
Possess basic computer skills, example Excel, word, power point, keynote
Have the ability to plan, create, execute and document training sessions and programs
