Job Summary

 Job Responsibilities:

• Supervising all activities relative to the training and skill development of student-athletes 
• Providing technical skill instruction to aid in the development of student-athletes at practices
• Conducting individual training sessions with student-athletes geared at skill development
• Developing and executing practice plans that will prepare the team physically and mentally for competition
• Assisting in the preparation of team for games by contributing strategies
• Preparing scouting reports on opponents in preparation for competition
• Monitoring student-athletes academic progress 
• Rehabailitating injured student-athletes as directed by the Team Physicians and Sports Medicine staff
• Coordinating with Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning staff to organize and monitor the physical conditioning of student-athletes
• Aiding in the direction and planning an organized, competitive and fiscally sound program
• Coordinating with athletic travel liaison to ensure proper team travel arrangements 
• Filling all uniform and equipment needs for the program
• Recruiting prospective student-athletes 
• Marketing the program, department, and campus to prospective student-athletes, alumni, and the community through positive interactions, results, and reputation

Qualifications: 

• Completion of a Bachelors Degree
• Previous coaching experience
• Understanding of budget issues and funds management
• Proficiency with personal computer applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Coaching experience at the collegiate level or comparable relevant professional experience
