Job Summary

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting in aspects of developing and implementing successful year round sport specific strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes in all sport programs.

This includes, but is not limited to: instruction of proper techniques, physical performance evaluation and testing, scheduling assistance, maintenance, and upkeep of weight room facility, adhering to all rules and regulations of the University, NCAA and applicable conference.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and Masters degree in a related field.

Three years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach in intercollegiate athletics or professional team setting. Experience in Division I is preferred.

•    Experience with Basketball and/or Baseball. Also, knowledge of nutrition and its effect on physical conditioning as well as familiarity with rehabilitation programs, movement screens for athletes and the ability to work with medical and training staff preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified through NSCA or CSCCa required and USA-W and FMS are optional

but preferred.

•    CPR, AED and first aid training

Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5 FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
