Job Summary

Description of the Job

The university's Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the daily operations of the Office of Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) during the 2019-20 academic year.

Resposibilities:

• Work 20 hours per week in the academic computer lab (occasional weekend/evening hours);
• Show up on time and keep a consistent weekly schedule;
• Monitor computer lab making sure students are working and being productive;
• Sign students in/out of study hall;
• Keep all student information confidential;
• Create documents/schedules using Excel and Word;
• Create incoming student folders and recruit visit bags;
• Help update bulletin boards;
• Run errands across campus for advisors;
• Participate in all events put on by SASS; and
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree;
• Admittance into a graduate program for the Fall 2019 semester; and
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

• Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics;
• Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and
• Exceptional verbal and written communication.
