Job Summary


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and scale cloud infrastructure for Production, QA, and Dev environments
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems
  • Lead infrastructure automation and deployment practices
  • Create architectural guidelines and standards
  • Design, implement, and execute security standards
  • Collaborate with the development teams to share best practices
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements
  • Monitor environments for security vulnerabilities and take actions to remediate and/or mitigate risks
  • Monitor applications and services, take actions to resolve issues and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Monitor AWS maintenance and outages, assess impact, and develop strategies to minimize impact
  • Create and follow up on support tickets
  • Write and maintain infrastructure documentation

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Experience with all aspects of DevOps (source control, continuous integration, deployments, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, and Bamboo
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Experience with SQL, including writing and maintaining queries
  • Experience with SDLC, especially Agile or Kanban concepts
  • Experience with AWS PaaS/FaaS services
  • Linux OS and Windows Server support
  • Scripting languages JavaScript, Bash, Ruby, Python and/or Perl
  • Lightweight architectures including JavaScript frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, React)


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, focused in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; and five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Computer Skills  
  • Experience with Puppet, Chef, Docker or other containerization technologies
  • Excellent technology troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Web technologies like Apache, Tomcat, IIS and others
  • Programming skills such as VB.NET, Java, C#.

Work Hours  

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.
