Job Summary

Job Summary: The Accounting & Administration Clerk is primarily responsible for providing assistance to the Senior Manager, Accounting and Office Services with their accounting duties in addition to some office administration tasks. The successful candidate will record data entries relating to deposits and bank charges in our accounting system as well as assisting with processing invoices. The candidate will support the Senior Manager in their month-end activities, including reviewing the accounts receivable ledger/aging and will additionally be responsible for assisting with some office administration duties.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Managing the checks for deposit via a remote scanning machine 
  • Booking all relevant cash receipts and banking transaction entries through the accounting system
  • Working with the Staff Accountant at month-end to investigate/adjust for differences
  • Reviewing monthly tie-back reports to ensure sub-ledger is accurate 
  • Preparing various invoices on and ad hoc basis 
  • Supporting the Senior Manager in the processing/review of monthly team distributions 
  • Assisting with collating proper audit support for team invoices and team payments 
  • Providing support to the finance staff when retrieving payment information for various customer payments 


  • Bilingualism, (French & English, both verbal and written)
  • At least 2 years professional experience in a similar accounting role 
  • Successful completion of post-secondary education with a focus on Accounting and/or Commerce
