Job Summary

Job Summary:

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to on the court coaching in practices and games, recruiting, scouting, summer camps, coordination of travel arrangements, travel expense reports and any other duties deemed appropriate by the Head Coach.

A thorough knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations of Central State University and the NCAA Division II are imperative. Furthermore, the successful candidate must have knowledge of the game of basketball and the skills necessary to communicate and teach this information to the student-athletes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Women's Basketball Coach with the organization and supervision for ll aspects of the Women's Basketball program


• NCAA Division II Rules compliance


• Coordinates individual player development workouts and strength trainings


• Must possess high integrity, a commitment to excellence, loyalty and a strong work ethic


• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing


• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance


• Ability to work with a wide range of people


• Assist with the recruitment of academically qualified student-athletes who can compete at the NCAA II level


• Team travel including weekends


• Pre and post-season conditioning


• Must have the ability to lead the program


• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook


• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required


• Must have prior women's basketball coaching experience
