Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Duties/Essential Functions:

• Repair drywall, paint, tile, carpet, concrete patching, door and lock repair and other repairs as necessary
• Metal and woodworking – fabrication/welding
• Perform required repairs/upkeep as needed to arena seating and miscellaneous equipment
• Welding and fabrication
• Maintain proper inventory levels within Maintenance Shop; pick up supplies as needed  
• Perform preventive inspections  
• Ability to operate forklift, scissor lift and aerial lift and obtain necessary certification if applicable
• Partner with Management on various projects and job duties
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors
• Build the monthly employee work schedule
• Excellent decision-making skills 
• Punctual 
• Ability to supervise individuals or teams of various size
• Responsible for facility checks, job scheduling and reports
• Responsible for coaching and resolving employee issues
• New and inventive maintenance procedures and protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification Standards:  

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Must be skilled in use of various hand and power tools
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a maintenance capacity or similar role 
• Ability to read and write in English; basic computer proficiency; ability to utilize a handheld radio and communicate effectively
• Excellent follow-thru skills, able to complete projects in a timely manner  
• Energetic, self-motivated and eager to learn new operating procedures
• Possess a valid California driver’s license and a good driving record  
• Requires prolonged standing and bending; ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds 
• Flexible schedule – ability to work varying shifts, weekends and some holidays as required.
