Job Summary
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing stakeholders with data, financial analysis and recommendations to help drive the company's strategic goals. This position is also responsible for analyzing and reporting historical trends and assisting in the development and coordination of annual budgets and monthly projections. The role will require collaboration and rapport with colleagues across all levels of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Driving insightful and actionable business intelligence across the Sports & Entertainment businesses
- Developing trended/bench-marked key performance metrics that will contribute to the profitable growth of the business
- Leveraging and building upon existing data warehouse and data visualization tools to support growth and develop department dashboards
- Providing metrics-based financial analysis to support decision-making in the areas of capital expenditures, venue operations and headcount growth
- Performing analysis to assist with strategic planning and business development
- Partnering with departmental leaders to ensure realistic forecasts provide a path to achieve the company’s objectives
- Analyzing and reporting on trends in historical, current and projected monthly financial and operating data
- Recommending responses and follow up on unexpected variances to historical trends, budgets and forecast.
- Assisting in the developing and coordination of annual budgets and monthly projections
- Conducting ad hoc analyses, bench-marking and reporting as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business
- Strong technical skills in all aspects of financial reporting
- Experience with performance management and financial/operating dashboards
- Experience with data warehouse extraction and reporting
- Outstanding financial acumen (strong technical quantitative and analytical skills) and judgment blended with business partnership and a pro-active operating philosophy
- Advanced level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry
