Job Summary
Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Assistant Men's Wrestling Coach will assist with duties for the sport assigned at our University. The Assistant Mens' Wrestling Coach will participate in recruitment, training and/or strength training for athletic competition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head coach in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition using sound principles and judgment consistent with the philosophy of Athletics
- Designing the workout programs and training routines to improve athletic performance
- Directing with implementing and supervising athletic training, strength, and conditioning workouts
- Participating in various fundraising, marketing, and promotion activities
- Ordering and maintaining equipment, monitoring budgets, and initiating correspondence.
- Keeping records and statistics during games and as directed by the Head Coach
- Monitoring and coordinating team social media in cooperation with the sports information and marketing department
- Assisting in recruiting and following up with qualified student athletes by phone, e-mail or through on-campus visits
- Completing video editing
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules
- Knowledge of strengthening and conditioning programs and routines
- Skills in the use of first aid procedures
- Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree
- Experience and training in the sport
