Job Summary

 

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in Business, Sports Management, Communications, Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Two years experience in a golf-related business environment preferred
  • PC proficiency in Windows based environment, Word, Excel, PowerPoint for Windows preferred
  • Extensive travel required; teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness; ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects; ability to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals; excellent communication skills

 Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the operations of receiving ShotLink data in real time, using data collection and administrative tools provided by ShotLink system
  • Manage the SEP team in control of the set-up and maintenance of the laser and scoring equipment. Communicate to the SEP Specialist, problems and/or issues with lasers and assist with troubleshooting
  • Understand and accommodate the unique requirements of each constituent involved in receiving data
  • Verify course mapping, tee coordinates, and course changes
  • Verify that laser data is accurate and transmitted properly, including pre-event testing and troubleshooting
  • Validate data received from the laser operations and verify correct association with strokes in real time
  • Validate data received from the walking scorers and verify correct associations with laser observations
  • Communicate to the Tournament Coordinators, problems and/or issues with volunteer performance
  • Assist with tournament administration which includes the distributing of all groupings information, prize money payouts, scores and stats, pace of play, FedExCup Points and other information
  • Monitor and validate data presented on the Tournament Tracker application
  • Evaluate volunteer capabilities and communicate concerns when appropriate
  • Assist with end of round reports, groupings, etc., for Rules Officials and publish all end-round and final reports to Tournament Tracker for Media
  • Assist with the set-up and operation of the Trackman system
  • Assist with export file for Headquarters
  • Assist Lead Producer with software issues and document any issue to IS
  • Assist Lead Producer with post-tournament report for Headquarters
