Communications Coordinator

Job Summary

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field
• Minimum 2 year of experience in Communications or related field
• Preferred experience working with the following technology tools: content management systems (WordPress), Sprout, Google Analytics, Eblast tools (MailChimp) and Salesforce

 Responsibilities:

• Gathers content, research stories and create ideas to pitch to media and industry partners.
• Drafts communications materials including but not limited to press releases, social media, talking points, feature stories, presentation materials and bios.
• Maintains the media database and provides media lists to The First Tee chapters upon request. 
• Monitors media coverage for The First Tee, World Golf Hall of Fame and World Golf Foundation, compiling and distributing press clips to staff and chapters on regular basis.
• Contributes content for digital platforms including website, social, and e-blasts.
• Helps social media scheduling and makes updates to websites. 
• Uses tools to measure press coverage, social stats and website analytics, helping with routine reports and analytics on progress toward annual goals
• Writes stories, social and content for websites, publications and eblasts.
• Assist with media events including press check-in, distributing press kits and media follow up.
• Responds to chapter requests and internal requests as needed.
• Special projects or other duties as assigned.
