Summer semester: Cover letter and resumes being accepted now for Summer 2019 internship, to begin in early May and end in August. 

Who Can Apply:
Credit-earning college students who apply will be considered for the position. While sport management and business administration majors are preferred, there is no course of study that is required for internships, and each applicant will be considered. 

Interviews

• Qualified applicants will be contacted for an initial telephone interview in addition to a formal interview with the corporate sales staff on an ongoing basis until the position(s) is filled.

Job Description

• The corporate sales intern will work a full-time schedule, focusing mainly on helping the corporate sales department prepare for and execute two summer series events - Thursday Thunder Legends Racing Series (May-July) and Friday Night Drags (May-August), as well as track rentals throughout the summer term.
• Assist the sales department, including Client Services, with sales proposals and recaps for existing and potential clients
• Researching sales opportunities
• Assist with asset management and tracking
• Assist with sending out tickets, passes and other event information to track partners
• Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Sales staff
• This is an unpaid internship for college credit only

Candidate Must:

• Be a rising college junior or senior
• Work well in a team environment
• Have an understanding of Microsoft Office applications
• Have strong problem solving skills
• Ability to handle a variety of priorities simultaneously
• Ability to communicate with a variety of people (track management, race fans, clients/sponsors)
