Job Summary

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Manager, Security essential job function will be the oversight and management of all credentials and the credential platform itself.  This individual will also assist in overseeing the day to day operations for the 24 Hour Security Department with support from upper management. 

This individual’s responsibilities will ensure the protection, safeguarding, and security of employees, vendor partners, visitors, company assets, and KSE property locations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage credentialing system and platform
• Oversee the issuance of all staff and vendor credentials
• Assist in supervising the daily work of the Security Supervisors and Shift Leads
• Assists in developing, delivering, and reviewing all department training
• Assists in the development of Standard Operating Procedures on an on-going basis.
• Manages department response to emergency situations; ensures that staff members carry out duties as assigned; communicates with emergency services personnel, both internally and externally, before during and after emergencies. 
• Monitors, reports, and documents safety and security issues and oversees resolution to those issues
• Conducts proper investigations into all matters, accidents, security issues, and situations that adversely impact the department or the organization and oversee documentation and communication of those investigations as directed by upper management.
• Briefs Director on status of security issues and operations.
• Other duties as assigned by Director. 

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

• Supervises the daily work of Security Supervisors and Shift Leads 
• Acts as Security Manager on Duty for various events

JOB QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skill and Ability:

• Knowledge of generally accepted security policies, procedures and operations for a large arena or event facility.
• Extremely organized and ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings/nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Ability to assess security risks and needs.
• Advanced Computer skills

EXPERIENCE:

• Three to five years of civilian and/or government security experience, including two years of supervisory experience.

• Stand, walk, talk or hear 2/3 or more of time.
• Sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel up to 2/3 of time.
• Reach w/hands and arms up to 1/3 of time.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. up to 1/3 of time.
• Moderate to very loud noise.
