Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: An opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of communications at the professional level. This position will have the chance to write, research and get hands-on experience on how home events operate from pre-game to post-game with the team.This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Producing press releases, previews, recaps
• Researching on all aspects of the club
• Understanding of setting up a home event, how home events/trainings are covered by the media and how to disseminate information

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

• This position requires a candidate to possess a general knowledge of sports, including soccer, and also have strong written and organizational skills.
• A proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel is required, while the knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is not required but preferred.
• Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, your assigned hours may vary to reflect the business needs of the company and will include hours during game days.
