Job Summary

Summary:Reporting to the VP of Communications, the Community Relations and Fundraising Manager is responsible for all community appearance scheduling and executing as well as donation fulfillment and all special events, community programs and group fundraising.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:

• Community appearance scheduling and executing

• Responsible for all Special events, community programs, including planning and executing

• Generate revenue through group fundraising, birthday package sales, and Kids Club Memberships

• Expand community reach / grow Condors presence in the community

• Acts as primary point of contact for incoming phone calls/emails regarding appearances or team-oriented events

• Responsible for the scheduling of all Mascot and Player appearances and the compilation of master appearance schedule

• Needs to fulfill mascot payroll using appearance spreadsheet

• Review past events to ensure our continued participation in annual events

• Seek out new community appearance opportunities including golf tournaments, festivals, fun runs, etc

.• Stay connected with past fundraising groups, work with large scale fundraisers and seek out new fundraising groups

• Sell groups and suites and track ticket sales for groups

• Reach out to Kids Club members to sell birthday party packages; take all in-coming birthday party package requests to sell and executive

• Responsible for the entire Donation life cycle (collecting, approving, tracking, contact Organization when fulfilled)

• Handle all Coaches Kids and Big Buddy ticket donations

• Organize and oversee the events and efforts of the Condors Community Foundation

• Work with Finance Department for Foundation reconciliation and reporting

• Attend and help execute all special events


Education, Experience and Skills

:• Degree or Diploma is required• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a sports environment is preferred

• Experience in marketing, social media and event planning is considered an asset

• Must be have strong relationship building skills with external customers

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

• Must have effective oral and written communication skills in addition to a strong telephone presence.

• Must have access to a vehicle and a motor vehicle license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
