Job Summary
About the Role:
- The Team Video Manager reports to the Head Coach and is responsible for filming, editing, and organizing all footage of team practices and games.
- The Team Video Manager will partner with coaches across the offense, defense, and special teams to capture film in accordance with coach standards. This position will also be responsible for maintaining all video equipment.
Essential Duties:
- Film all practices and home / away games
- Provide video needs for game analysis, scouting, and instructional training purposes
- Edit and break down all practice and game film according to coaching staff specifications
- Utilize full range of capabilities of XOS, DVSport, and other applicable football software
- Ensure all video equipment is properly maintained, prepared, and functioning
- Transport and set up video equipment for practice and game day needs
- Produce highlight and motivational film cut ups as requested
- Partner closely with head coach and coaching staff, attend meetings and all football related activities, and travel with team
- Organize and maintain library of practice and game film
- Manage film exchange program with other XFL teams
- Partner with Analytics & Scouting team to help develop advanced data insights
- Assist Director of Player Personnel with video needs for scouting of potential talent and advance opponent reports
- Serve as additional leverage for coaching staff across various functions (IT, Systems, Administration, etc.)
- Coordinate with social, digital and content production teams to exploit content across fan facing platforms as necessary
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of experience in a collegiate or professional football organization
- Advanced knowledge of football video systems (DVSport, XOS, Hudl.)
- Technical knowledge and skill in the use of video technology and equipment, including digital editing, production, and post-production editing
- Understanding of the sport football and football terminology in order to film and edit correct footage and game situations
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to multitask
- A self-starter
