High Performance Sports Intern

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• The High-Performance Sport Intern will assist with varied aspects of athlete evaluation, program development and implementation, and data capture and analysis. They will also assist with development and delivery of assorted recovery, nutrition and player education efforts.
• Assist with pre-draft athlete assessments
• Support staff with athlete monitoring and training efforts
• Assist with assorted pre and post workout duties
• Assist performance analyst with transition into a custom athlete management system
• Assist with research projects, and strategic planning around risk and readiness management initiatives
• Assist performance chefs and team nutritionist with varied initiatives

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree completed (or in progress) in sport science related field 
• Two (2) or more years of experience in coaching and/or sport science in an elite sport environment (Division I, pro or international sport)
• Demonstrated success working in a high-pressure, interdisciplinary team setting
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills combined with an ability to take complex concept and communicate simply
• Ability to effectively synthesize information, research and data
• Superior professionalism and strong leadership skills 
• Advanced knowledge of the NBA (sport of basketball)
• NSCA &/or CSCCa certifications
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
